River Washington is an acoustic punk singer/songwriter from Gothenburg, Sweden.
River started their music journey in the 90’s playing bass and drums in different punk and hardcore bands. After 10 years they wanted to explore other types of music and started writing songs on acoustic guitar instead, creating a more stripped back mellow sounding music.
The music is inspired by punk and 90’s alternative rock but also draws inspiration from indie-folk type singer/songwriters, country, blues, old time and Irish folk music.
River writes, records and produces all music themselves at Studio Humbleton.
